Great location on the river, very spacious and quirky in a good way.

I thought the interiors were a little out dated and the mattresses need replacing

Actually I didn’t stay at the Riverside! There was some electrical issues so Raymond kindly found us another property in Whitley Bay which was exceptional . He felt that being the 2nd January it would be hard to fix the issues in a timely fashion so best we relocate and it was a good call. So the Whitley Bay retreat is a lovely property, highly recommend!

Location & quirkiness of property, dishwasher, downstairs toilet

The bed I slept in was very uncomfortable, mattress worn too soft & topper rolled up. On arrival bed linen was all creased, pillows poor quality. Consequently my back suffered causing a lot of pain. Not enough cups & cutlery if there was more than 4 people House in general ok met our needs but a bit “tired looking” sofas low A stair rail would be of benefit
